Indian shooters have the honor of being chosen as Flag Bearers during Olympic, Asian, Commonwealth and SAF Games. Nominated by the Indian Olympic Association, they are usually picked on the basis of their performance in international competitions and lead the Indian Contingent during the inaugural March Past.
