The government of India will permit “Renowned Shooters” to import arms and ammunition for their training and participation in national and international competitions. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports vide its Office Memo 52-19/99-SP.I dated June 5, 2007, has liberalized the import policy and all shooters participating in NSCC will be allowed to import arms and ammunition “duty free” subject to achieving the minimum qualifying scores as laid down in the NRAI Match Book under rule 17.6.
